I have a 4 row International cyclo I use for sweet corn and pumpkins. I dont want to use the pto pump on the 190. Will a 190 run a cyclo blower off the remotes? Or should I hook up to something else? Thanks! ------------- Life is simpler when you plow around the stump. |

Why not the pto pump? The one I had used the direct pto driven fan so I don't have any experience with pto pump but that is what they are for. ------------- 1945 C, 1949 WF and WD, 1981 185, 1982 8030, unknown D14(nonrunner) |

| Using the hydraulic pump on any tractor to power any orbit motor ain't for free. Eventually you will have to spend some $$$$$ on the pump from continuous use like that. Use the PTO pump. That's what it was made for. |

This is in the "ball park" of my earlier post of "over complicating" a planter whether with hydraulics OR electric blower motors  !! Our ground drive JD 7000 is becoming more appealing every day  !!

Well, you've got a pretty darn good corn planter for sure. They are also famous for being the absolute WORST singulation planter for soybeans !! You haven't figured that out yet ?? |

| What's the track record for a blow job Allis for beans ?? we run a Kinze brush meter for beans on 30" rows , and use an IH 510 drill on 14" rows ( 7" spacing on our drill). I've read that "singulation" on bean seed is moot ?? |

| Allis air planter in soybeans is as good as Kinze brush meters and FAR better than the bean cups of a Deere planter. Singulation is indeed important when you have a Deere bean cup dribble 15 beans to the foot compared to 9 beans to the foot of a Kinze brush meter or an Ac air planter. If you change your ground speed on a Deere bean cup it changes the rate per acre !! Nice design !! |

I like my orange tractors and silver combines but no one holds a candle to the Deere planters and drills. Weather it’s a 7000 from the 70’s or a nearly new 1760 there’s no comparison. We planted beside a 385 with a 7000 few years ago the 7000 was always picket fence stands the 385 not so much. Plant corn with a 1760 vac now and beans with a 7100 both do excellent. ------------- 8030 and 8050MFWD, 7580, 3 6080's, 160, 7060, 175, heirloom D17, Deere 8760 |

The Amish think tractors are too complicated too, but I think I'll stick with them. Just because YOU don't understand something doesn't mean that its wrong. I use a DA 385 for corn, a cyclo for beans, and now I'm experimenting with one for sweet corn and pumpkins since its super simple to change out seed. ------------- Life is simpler when you plow around the stump. |

My Allis 330 with 78 units was more accurate than our 7000 for sure. Deere was easier to set depth. I have a White 5100 now. It's accurate and all but it is complicated to set the population and it is very tongue heavy and very clumsy compared to either the Allis or the Deere. The White and Deere for me always picked up rocks that would get stuck in between the lift wheels and a unit. The White was really bad at that until I put special rock guards on it.
