I have a d17 4 cylinder gas , and I was wondering on the rocker arm shaft are the ends supost to have plugs in them ? Any help would be great. TIA

Yes, there should be a cork plug in both ends.

Welcome! Need pictures. Good idea to replace those cork plugs.

What is the function of those cork plugs?

shaft is hollow and oil is pumped thru it... Cork keeps the oil from running out the end.
