Other than chasis changes(and the P/D) over the years, were these 2 "close" in pulling power in a normal farming set-up back then? Are the engines at all related to each other ? Thanks

The D14 to me is a lot easier to operate and get on and off, and to me the hydraulics worked much better, even though they worked similar. Around here there both 2 plow tractors, so to me they pulled about the same, maybe the WD had a little more grunt, but pretty close, You might want to check tractor data and see what the Nebraska test were. I’m not sure but the D14 may have had a few more horsepower over the WD. And they weighed about the same. The D14 was just way more comfortable and easier to operate. I have 1 of each and I use the 14 a lot more than the WD, however I do like the WD.

I have a WD and dad had a D14 that I wish we still had. I would definitely choose the D14 over the WD for the PD and ease of getting on and off. Both good tractors but the D14 wins hands down for those 2 reasons.
