I have thr 7060 in for maintenance and a PTO cable chageout. This pump is leaking also. How hard is it to replace seals on what appears to the throttle shaft?

| Can't answer the "how hard" part but it's possible. Been addressed here before. Think the tricky part is not have inside clips flying away during disassembly. Probably not to challenging when you've done it before but first timer might work up a pucker factor. |

| Print out the page in the parts book and go buy a couple of the little o-rings first (I say a couple in case you drop one, or depending on how yours comes apart might need one on both sides. Take off the return line and the little bolts off the top cover, take the little timing window off so the fuel drains out, carefully pry the little j clip off (think its recommended to replace that too), then I think the shaft just slides out. I'm not a professional but I've replaced them on a combine and a 7030 without removing the pumps or having any special tools |

Tried it on my 6080 wasn’t incredibly difficult but it still leaked so still had to send in. My 8030 leaked oil I pulled it and sent it in. On the 6080 the E clips can be a bugger I think we spent more time looking for those after they went flying than anything else. ------------- 8030 and 8050MFWD, 7580, 3 6080's, 160, 7060, 175, heirloom D17, Deere 8760 |

IF that is the outside throttle shaft leaking - it is ez to do. CLEAN IT! Remove the line from the top - remove the cable to the shut off remove the 3 screws that holds the top - remove the top cap locate the J clip that holds the throttle shafts together and remove it by gently prying it off being careful not to let it escape. We use a set of side cutters ground to fit inside as a nice 'grabber' . Slide the shaft out - it can be pulled out with fingers or a little pressure prying with a screwdriver.. Remove the throttle shaft oring seal and plastic washer and reinstall. IF the j clip is loose now gently close up the c section with pair of pliers - be gentle.
