I updated a couple pages on my website showing some timing marks etc. I had a WC crankshaft laying here so I attached it to a flywheel to show what it looks like without the other pesky engine parts getting in the way. It is with a Bendix Scintilla mag but many of the things discussed pertain to all mags.

Nice writeup Tom... those parts are REALLY CLEAN... Do you sand blast when disassembled ?.... Wonder why they didnt put TDC on the face of the flywheel ? That would have been nice.

Like them all, but love the "B"s.

I cleaned up the flywheel with a cup brush on my angle grinder.

How do you cleanup the mag housing ?  I like the spark test stand.

The mag was completely disassembled the parts that could be bead blasted were. Things like the name plates were masked off. Otherwise parts-washer etc.
