Hello , I am new to forum and a new owner of a AC D12 . It is in fantastic shape , runs like a sewing machine. Hydraulics are stuck but haven't dove into that yet. What i am asking here is my fenders are totally shot! I goggled new ones but nothing came up ? So all I have seen advertised  are B , C and some D14 fenders. Can they be made to fit the D 12 ? Or are there any years that are close? Also I have no grill insert, any info where to source one of these would be great also
Thank you

welcome to the forum!

Do you have any photos to share and a seriel # to possibly direct you to the correct color of grill.

There are no aftermarket fenders for the D10, 12, 14, or 15.  Good used ones are quite expensive if you can find them.  B and C fenders are too small and will not fit.  D14/15 fenders will fit, but you just need to cut some out of the back of them.
Take your fenders to a local body shop.  You would be amazed what they can do with them.  That is what I do with all of mine.

Regarding the grille insert, several places have them.  Pfouts family farm (sponsored here) and DJS tractor parts have them.

I thought about body shop . But besides rusted out they are crumpled like something big  feel on them . I may try the 17 's . Thank you for the two grill contacts . Anyone have a idea what to check first for the hydraulics ? The tractor was sitting in a barn for 25 years before i got it .

There should be a D before the 12   D12-1628 would be a 1959 model.   The 10-2461S is the engine number.  The 10 indicates a 138 ci. engine.   Other than this forum there is a FaceBook group Allis Chalmers CA, D-10 and D-12 Tractors.  There are a couple of guys on there that sometimes have D-10, D-12 parts.  Fenders are almost impossible to find.

With the hydraulics, the early models had two types.   One was a live lift option with the pump mounted at the front of the engine.  The other was the CA type pump driven by the PTO until.   I suspect you have the CA type.  Valves in these pumps stick and you will need to disassemble and clean the pump.  First thing to do is check the oil level.

D-17 fenders grafted onto a D-10/12 will look like a saddle on a sow.

just asking........ if the D10-12 fenders are not available, and you can get D17 fenders .... could a shop section and weld up 2-3 pieces to make it look like a D12 fender ?   .. or is it just wishful thinking.... Making fenders out of nothing is close to impossible... just wondering if there is some "alternative"..?

Like them all, but love the "B"s.
