anyone have one they want to sell? I've seen these used/pictures shown of using but never for sale? Even an old axle with good tires would work as I can weld up the u shaped cradle to go onto... Pm me please, thanks fellas!

I'm not sure how much weight they will carry, but a rear axle off of a front wheel drive car is clean straight axle. Depending on how big the log is, I've put a chain around a log and around a blade or drawbar on the three point and got the end off the ground.

A true log arch has no straight axle between the wheels....the wheels are attached at each end of the arch itself. The straight axle would be in the way.

AKA as a swing cart a lot of places.Make one out of an old fertilizer tank carrier and get a couple 12V winches to lift the logs.

The one I made, I used the bottom frame from a 300 gallon sprayer, put 20" bus tires on it. I made a sloping piece of 1" diameter stock, from the front tongue up and over the frame. Used a sliding clevis on the round stock, to lift the log, as you pull forward. that way, you back into the log, hook chain up to the front of the log, as tight as you can, jerk forward, and the log lifts itself up, on the front end!

i use an old propane tank carrier, it's open between the 2 wheels and the top is strong, i used a 12V winch to do the lifting, can tow behind a tractor or pickup.

Oh boy, here you go. My adventures in logging thus far.... To obtain an old Axle for cheap, visit an RV Repair Shop and get an "slightly out of alignment' RV Axle, the result of hitting a Pot Hole.
