I removed the clutch housing on my G and noticed there is no oil slinger on the back of the clutch shaft. Is it really necessary? Looks like there is a broken bolt in one of the holes it screws into.

Myron, in my opinion, if you look where the oil level in the transmission is, those needle bearings and gears are above the oil level that slinger is the only thing keeping oil up on those parts, also the PTO gears. Probably also limits the extra oil splash from all the transmission gears from the input shaft sealed bearing

Wasn't there when I bought it almost 10 years ago. Who knows when it was removed. I think I have a line on one though.
