I have owned several AC D series and hundred series tractors and none had a differential lock.
I am curious: did AC make an ag tractor with a locking differential?

although an imported tractor, the AC 5040 had a diff lock.
I would guess a 5050 had it too, but not sure about the smaller 50**

The mighty One-Sixty would have been the first "A-C" with a diff lock.

When I was in an ag class in high school, the teacher said something about a differential lock, and I was clueless. He laughed at me. I said there weren't any on our tractors. He thought I just didnt know any better. We were running 220,210,XT, D-series tractors.

The Japanese-built 5020 and 5030 both had differential lock.

6000 series has diff lock.  Still a gray area since it is a Fiat transmission and rear end.  However, it was still built in West Allis.

Yes, the older AC tractors did not have differential lock. Probably became available around 1964-65 on JD 4020/3020s, as optional equipment? One of Dad’s 4020s(the 68’) had it. It was very helpful when plowing, planting, & pulling gravity wagons.
My first opportunity for operating an AC differential lock was field cultivating with a 1974 AC 7050. AC offered it in 1973 as standard equipment on both the 7030 & 7050.

Differential lock is usually pretty durable on most tractors if used like its supposed to be used, wouldn't have to be too good to outlast a ED40.
