I just installed new brake shoes with the axle removed. The shoes do not seem to conform to the drum until they are tight to the drum. I assume they just need to be run in but bind even when loose. Any suggestions would be helpful   Thank you

Whenever I put brakes in a B,C or CA I always use an old drum outside of the tractor to bend them to match the radius of the drum first.  I also always put the brakes in after all the other axle parts are in place.

If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere.
Real pullers don't have speed limits.
If you can't make it GO... make it SHINY
