Sorry to hear of this. Charlie Pride was one of my favorites and also one of the great ones. I don't care anything for the "contemporary" or new country.

One of my favorites too. I got the biggest kick our of one of his albums when you can hear a female voice just entering the center and then screaming; "It's true, it's really true" She was referring to the fact that he was a black man, singing country, with a GREAT voice. What a gentleman!
