Truck pulling an overloaded trailer rear ended a car at intersection near my house. Older 1/2 Ton that wasnt in good shape, pulling a light duty utility trailer way overloaded with chunked up oak tree. Couldn’t have gotten another log on it. Doubt they had brakes. Truck and trailer now pulled over on a side street; guessing the DOT got involved and said “no go” without correction. These crazy idiots have zero understanding of trailer loads and capacities. Puts all drivers on the road at risk.

i agree on the extremes of overloads, i have done some of them too, but know not to travel the posted speed limits like most of them do. a dude i know just went camping, pulled a HUGE fifth wheel with an old f150 2wd, couldn't figger out why he lost his tranny and didn't have any more brakes left when he got to the campground. both truck and trailer had to be towed back home. that pickup was a death trap on the road all by itself not alone pulling anything! i see all kinds of weird and silly and stupid chit go past my place every day/night. a flatbed tow truck today went past, one on the deck and pulling one on the stinger, the one being pulled had no tire/wheel on the pavement on one side, was just dragging it...at road speed. the other night another vehicle driving road speed also without a tire/wheel on it. that made alot of noise! we have to constantly watch out for other stupid drivers!

This is why I posted on the OP as to DOT requirements, they are tiring of picking up these messes and getting serious of enforcement.
