Buddy recently bought a R-50 & went over it fixing a few things and thoughly kleening the engine, long story short (he drove it 60 miles home with out any problems) went to thrash beans today it started to leak engine oil and blowing on the turbo & manifold got his attention quickly. Asked me to look at it and I thought it would be a firing ring. Oil is running out of that area (#4 right behind turbo) but I don't think its the ring thats leaking because the engine run & sound great and no skip to the starter when cranking with fuel shut off. Would / could it be a push rod seal leaking? He did power wash both sides of the engine. Thanks Dave

Hmm wouldn't be one of the turbo oil lines leaking would it?

Noy famailar with that engine ; but how would that show on the outside of the engine ? Arent they under the valve cover?

Guys the oil is coming out rite were the fire ring is located thats why I,m thinking it mite be leaking at the top of the tube. Thanks Dave

There is an metal / cloth covered rubber oil line that goes to the blower fan clutch...have seen pin holes in the cloth covered line .... but probably a push rod tube seal - on a cold engine we open the cover to the fan and install a fabbed cardboard air diverter to keep oil from being blown by the blower - helps locate leaks.

Are you sure it is oil, not diesel fuel? The injectors are famous for leaking where tip fits to body. MACK
