I put brakes around the 2x4 Chevy today. Rear
drums were sorta a pain. Had to cut the right rear to get it off. Then I found a big horseshoe shaped spring in there. I had to disconnect the park brake cable from a bracket on the shoe to get the rear shoes off. I found out if you disconnect the rear park brake cable from the front cable, it is a whole lot easier to get the cable back in the bracket attached to the brake shoe. Oh well job done all 4 new brakes and hardware. And didn't have to do it in a snow bank.      Grandsons Dakota quit, gonna have to hook up the tow dolly next week and haul it home. Hoping he can find a way to get here tomorrow and pickup the 05 tomorrow.

emergency brakes and hardware normally rust out after 15 years... At that point i take them and STORE in the dumpsters in the barn lot.

Like them all, but love the "B"s.

Didn't have that problem with park brake cables. But I never use it. They actually looked like new cables.
