I have a AC loader model 500 taht I need some hlep on. I have a peice that is on the hydulic pump drive that I need to know about, It connect the pump to the crank shaft. I have uploaded pictures of the peice I was wandering about. Does anyone know if the shaft rod that goes against this pecie is suppose to be welded or if it was threaded in it. Been my experience that there is usually a keyed or splined  hub welded to that piece and the corresponding shaft slips into that hub. Supposed to make it easier to change the belt and such.

That ain't factory.  Factory had a splined cast iron hub and a splined shaft with a chain coupler on the pump end.

I believe you have a Model 400 Loader if you have a front pump, Model 417 on an earlier D-17.

A and W in Wisc makes new reproduction of the assembly they have the hub and shaft along with the shaft. I have there number if interested .

There are several differences over the span of the manufacturing. What tractor is it on? The cross bar that ties the uprights will be close to fuel tank if a 400 series. The 500 series upright is taller and bar will be several inches off of tank. Both models had a reservoir in one of the uprights on some models. Later ones did not. HTH Tracy
