I have a 7040 that I drained the oil and pulled the differential filters about a month ago to fix a few leaks. Going back togeather now with new filters and I noticed that the caps that hold the filters in are two different cup depths? Im thinking the deeper cupped cap goes with the longer filter on the right hand side? And the shallower cap on the left? Any help would be great

I changed mine back in April but I can’t remember which is which. Sorry.

I have changed a lot of them over the years, but don't remember , but right filter is the long one so think long cap is on right side. MACK
