Recently I've been restoring an old horse drawn IH planter. The disc on the front were rusted out and I'm replacing them. The problem is, I can't find any rivets that are large enough to secure the new discs to the hub. I was hoping to get some advice on locating some.

It looks like the to rivets need to be 5/16".

My suggestion would be some 5/16 round stock, soft as you can find...

Shape a head on it, then use the formula below, to cut to the right length, and  install...

The formula for determining rivet length is as follows: 1 1 / 2 x D + G =L Where: D = the rivet diameter, G = the grip (total thickness of material, and L = the total length of the rivet.Mar 28, 2014

you can also check Fastenal. They ordered some rivets for the front hub on my 1939 B.
