| I realize that most model WD's came from the factory with that red rear "bullet" tail light. However, I have seen some with a rear work light instead. Not sure if this was an option or what. However, I purchased what appears to be one and would like to install it. I think I've seen a picture of one under the seat. Anyone have any thoughts on this topic? Many thanks in advance! |

| The two WD'S we had back in the 50' & 60's when I was growing up both had rear work lights. The one on the tractor purchased new in 1949 had been added by my uncle by fabricating a bracket and mounting it to the seat mounting bolt. The other WD was purchased used and the previous owner had mounted a light in place of the red bullet light on the left hand fender. Neither was what I would term a "factory" light although they may have been available through the dealers. |

Mine has the red bullet light but I added a flood off of another WD that was being parted out. It wires the the same circuit as the red light but has a on/off switch. The one I had, had a switch on the light. One way was a red tail light and the other way was the work light. Center was off. ------------- D14, D17, 5020, 612H, CASE 446 |

WD (S/N 5109) 1949 had both the rear red bullet light on the fender and a rear work light mounted under the seat. As far as I know, both are factory original, but dad always mentioned that the chrome bezel around the red taillight was the only one he had seen. The rear work light does not have a separate switch; it comes on with the rest of the lighting. R. Musgrave |

This is my 1953 WD-45. Rear work light is mounted to a bracket that is fastened to the seat bracket. I have no idea when it was added. I'm guessing it was a dealer installed option.

| Brian F: This picture is so helpful! Especially showing your tractor has the "bullet" light as well as the rear work light. The original rear work light I purchased has a bracket attached to it. So it sounds like I just need to attach it to the seat. I don't have a bullet light right now, so I can use that wire to connect to the rear work light. Thanks for all the responses. |
