| I have a couple of tractors that need splitting this winter to do some transmission work and am looking for ideas on how to build a good splitting stand. Pictures anyone? I want to use caster wheels and have it adjustable up and down. Thanks in advance for your ideas ! Mark |

| Take your tape measure, pen and paper and a camera and visit some repair facilities. They can probably even tell you what they do and don't like about a particular design. |

I purchased two adjustable stands for the bottom of scaffolding and welded casters to them, I think they are rated up to 1500 pounds? Found some pipe that slid over them and welded flat plate to them for side frame, used a angle iron and forty fived it from the bottom of pipe towards the front of the side rails or side frame. Make sure to use another angle iron to tie the two stands together at the bottom once they are bolted on, worked good on my 8050. for wheels and adjustments, you can incorporate the threaded rod and wheel off the bottom of movable scaffold, or you can use two trailer jacks / wheels.  ------------- Like them all, but love the "B"s. |

I use a 24' long 4by8 I-beam(across the garage), 2 trolleys, 2 chain hoists and a few SOLID wood blocks to split my D-14s when required. ------------- 3 D-14s,A-C forklift, B-112 Kubota BX23S lil' TOOT( The Other Orange Tractor) Never burn your bridges, unless you can walk on water |
