We have a 200 diesel stored in a shed. How often should it be started
in the off season between tillage and harvest?

I start every engine once every month and let them run for 30 minutes.
Letting them run for at least thirty minutes helps to drive moisture out of the engine.

Don't let it idle for only a couple of minutes and throttle it up to half or more for the rest of the time.

I have livestock, so my tractors don't set very long. Though over the winter, the big-boy Allis does end up sitting for a few months. I probably should start it periodically.....but don't.

When I had an extra car, I made sure to start it every 4-6 weeks. I'd think that would be plenty.
