We have a Newholland 488 haybine. We hit a root today an the top roller snapped the end off. We can get the drum roller fixed but we can see how to get it out of the machine. Any help would be great.

the rollers come out the bottom right hand side of the machine. you need to remove the right hand set of floatation springs, the reel drive chain and sprocket. then you will see that the plate the float springs hook to will un bolt from the side and the right side of the roll will drop out the slot. it's more involved than this but hopefully that will steer you in the right direction.

Try this New Holland web site for parts.

I learned about a 273 baler on the NH parts web site and was able to rebuild the pickup.
