looking at buying a 185 but the owner says it jumps out of 1 and 2 gear just looking for a ball park of what that would cost to fix.

Could be a shifter fork that may fix it- probably around 650 having it hired done- complete tear down hired done probably around 3000 dollars, thats kinda odd it jumps out of 1 st+ 2nd, but they are known for popping out,, poor deisgned in my opinion, but thats how they were built

i  do not own the tractor but was trying to see how much it would cost it has had a loader on it since it was new or that is what i was told anyways

1st and 2nd gear jump-out are not terribly common. Could be a broken tip off of the shift fork.

The poor design is no transmission brake, which the jump out goes back to operator .  Have saw some jump out of 1 and 2, but my ? would be  how close is it from jumping out of 3 and 4? Then it would expensive.               MACK
