New project of mine. Aussie Barn (shed) find 38 Model U. Has not been running for 25 years. Stored in a dry shed on blocks. Has a post hole digger on the front. Also used to pull an old horse wagon with seed out in the paddock during sowing back in the day for the now elderly owner. Coming from a dry climate in Victoria, Australia similar to Texas.

WD,
That is in good condition! Do you plan a restoration? Nice to find in good shape should be a much easier build when not a rusted hulk!
Regards,
Chris

Hi Chris, thanks for the thoughts. A mate of mine saw it prior to me going there and said the decals were still on it so I knew it had to be in good shape (he didn't get photos for me).
I think a power wash to get 25 years worth of dust off will be a start. I do like to keep them original when they are like this and just get them mechanically right so I reckon that is what I will do. You can ruin a tractor and make it look too good or better than it came out of the factory.
Cheers, Richard

Looks like the hardest part of getting that thing running will be getting it outta that shed.  Be careful with the power washer you don't take the paint off!

Man what a find. I've never seen a post hole digger on the front of a tractor before. If you are able to buy it, please post pictures after the bath. Probably put a battery, fresh gas, it might start and run.

Thanks for your thoughts fellas. I will keep you posted once I get it picked up and home. Got to get through some Covid restrictions before we start getting out for hobbies.
Will be going easy on the power/pressure wash! want to save the decals and all the original paint. Cheers, Richard
