It was at Larry DeSloover's farm. I have an R52 with the cummins in it, I like it. I don't have any experience with the Deutz motor, so can't compare them. |

| Luv the comments on the engines- cum-a-part,, been around alot of Cummins engines, never seen a failure, also been around a few Deutz never seen a faliure in them too, with proper manufacture said maintainence,, they should last a good long while , and the neh sayers, well thats probably on there poor maitainence program, IN MY OPINION ! |

We got a lot of good hours out of our equipment, but my two experience's with Cummins has not been good, one was on a generator, the other was on a feed trunk. However some of the original Deutz irrigation engines Dad purchased, had nearly 15,000 hours on them, with routine maintenance. Had several of the AGCO-Allis tractors with the Deutz engine, as well as Deutz engines in an R50, and an R70. Once again no problems. Your experiences maybe different then mine, but I figure there's a reason for the cummins nickname. Most guys I know either run the Detroit, or the Volvo.

Had a Duetz R52 couldn’t dump it fast enough. Got 4 Cummins in our lineup and wish we had more. There’s a reason Agco, CIH, NH, Deere and Versie ran Cummins. Certainly can’t say that about Duetz. | "Cummins" is the name of a company that has made and still makes MULTIPLE models and HP's of engines. They have made some very good engines. They have also made some that no one likes to talk about, like say the old 555 triple nickel or the 903 V8. The same can be said for most engine manufacturers; some good models and some not so good. Any savvy used truck buyer KNOWS which engines have a good reputation and which ones to run away from. Cummins brand has some of both. It wasn't all that many years ago that Caterpillar was number one in over-the-road truck engine sales. |

Allis G, I'd bet that I do know your relatives here! I do not know if Larry has any relatives in Arizona. Krazy Karl, I did not see the bigger tractors sell, but was told that the 6080 brought $4,000. |
