I have the two speed fan switch. Low speed isn't working anymore, it just stays on high. Is it safe to figure I just need to order a new switch.

Low speeds are obtained by running power through a resistor. It's probably burned out. On my 8000 there is a resistor block the switch and fan wires plug on to. It's probably not the switch. You need to diagnose it,not throw parts at it.

....parts book for 7060 shows a 3 speed switch which has the resistors built in....

Try removing the 7000 series’ cab top cover & look over that area’s cavity(blower switch, temp control switch, radio, etc). Mice love to overwinter up there. The cab’s hollow rops side posts allows mice an express route from lower cab cowling to upper cab roof were they chew up even more electrical wiring.

Not far from the blower motor are low and high connectors. Both were oxidized, but one was real bad. So low speed works again. Back a few years ago i ran into the same problem. My old one ton sits all winter. Come spring I needed to use it at night, and had no lights. Fuse was good, so after looking for an hour I put a new fuse in. The lights came on. I looked at that old fuse, there was heavy gray oxidation on it compared to a new one.
