June 7, 2020-

After much discussion, and with much sadness, the Board of Directors has decided to cancel the 2020 Orange Spectacular®. The health and safety of our members, volunteers, exhibitors and guests is our top priority during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Board of Directors also believes this is the best decision for the financial stability of the Club. We just all feel that the show isn’t something we would be able to do, financially, at a reduced capacity of visitors. We will offer several options for activities that have already began, such as raffle ticket sales, swap meet pre-payments, golf cart rentals, vendor contracts and Show Toy pickup.· The raffle drawings will be postponed to July 25, 2021, with approval from the Minnesota Gambling Control Board. An application must be filed with the Gambling Control Board to confirm this to be the case, but that is our intention. The 2020 raffle tickets that have been sold will be placed in the July 25, 2021 raffle drawing. If requested, your 2020 raffle ticket money will be refunded. Contact Lori Miller at miller8120@gmail.com or PM through messenger.· Swap meet vendors that pre-paid for 2020 space can have it applied towards the 2021 show or receive a refund, if requested.· Golf Cart rentals will be refunded to those who had pre-paid.· Vendors who have pre-paid for vendor space will be refunded.· This year’s Orange Spectacular® Show Toys that were planned to be picked up at the show will be shipped to you.
Any toy orders received after June 14th will have a mandatory $15 shipping fee added to the cost of the toy. We’ll see you next year at our (29th AND) 30th Annual Orange Spectacular® held July 23, 24 & 25, 2021, when we will also be hosting the national Gathering of the Orange – West

May 31, 2020-

Just to let everyone know, the board postponed the decision vote until June 7th, after Governor Walz speaks to the next phase of the reopening plan. So we’ll post after that decision has been made what the determination is for the 2020 Orange Spectacular.

Sorry guys, guess you will have to wait until 2021 to get some of our Colorado Peaches.  Man, this is going to be a boring summer, our County Fair and the Yesteryear Farm Show have both been canceled, plus I can't make my semi annual pilgrimage to Hinckley Ohio for the 4th of July picnic!

I wonder if Shameless can get a refund for the Golf Cart he "borrowed" a couple years ago?

Well John, seeing as he "returned" the cart, he doesn't have any $$$ coming back.
I'll see everyone next year.
I agree, it's going to be a boring year.  I'll have to make a trip up by Alex and wiplowboy just to say hi.  Good thing I don't have that much stuff on order this year.  Maybe I better buy a trailer for next year?
Be well and safe everyone and see you when I do.
God bless all,
Ted

Yeah, it's gonna be a long slow summer without going to any of the shows.....
Really gonna miss Hutch and that bearded guy too JW.  Also some other 'Misfits' who are there every year.  We're going to have to elect some new officers for the club......and initiate some of these youngsters who are cropping up on here.

Yep John, time to send Darin a Christmas present early again....  What would we all do without it?!?!
