I need guidance for adjusting crossover link with throttle control lever.  When I am mowing and I come to a tougher area the governor comes into play the engine  almost  cuts off.  I run about half throttle and the choke is about half closed for best results.  Does governor crossover link  hole receive the throttle post with a slight opening on the front of the junction or the rear of the junction adjustment?  I'm not sure if this is my only problem.  Any advise or pictures will be helpful.  The surge spring is connected.

#1 Do yourself a favor and get a service manual. That will explain in detail (often with pictures) anything you need to fix.
#2 if you are running with the choke half close under normal operating conditions, you have carburetor problems.

If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere.
Real pullers don't have speed limits.
If you can't make it GO... make it SHINY

Shouldn't have to have the choke pulled. Either dirt in the carb or main jet isn't adjusted right. Get it to run without the choke then go from there.
