does anyone have any experience with these?Pro EFI ECH 740 V-Twin in a Vermeer CTX 50 Mini track skid steer? My Daughter's rental fleet has 2 of them, and one runs great, and is out on rent every day. The second one will not fire, unless you feed it ether, but only runs on that. When running on the ether, it sounds fine, has spark, just doesn't seem to be getting fuel through the EFI system. My though was that it's a sensor for oil pressure or level. But in my past experiences with small engines, those switches cut off the ign. Could be an O2 sensor or ?? Figure this page has so many extremely knowledgeable members, and that engine is used in many mowers, that someone has bound have run into this before. Thanks in advance for any info anyone could provide!

They replaced the mechanical one that runs off the valvetrain I guess.

Check the fuel stop solenoid should be on the carb and click when you turn he key to run click again when you turn the key off. That's my guess anyway. I guess I should have said it on the side of the throttle body since it not really a carb just kinda looks like one.

My zero turn mower has a Kohler engine with EFI.......has been in the shop twice for similar reasons, and both times, it was electrical. First time, they eventually found a short......2nd time, ground wire had worked loose.

FWIW, mower I have was offered with 3 different engine options......Briggs, Kohler and Kawasaki. I asked and was told they see more of the Kohler engines back in for service than the other two combined. Never anything major, but if it won't start and run when you depend on it, it's major.
