Engine compression low---engine in need of rebuild is usually the cause. --- There can be other causes too such as plugged crankcase vent. check that first then do compression test!

Could be a bad fuel pump. Had one go south on my 782 CC, pushes fuel/oil out of the crankcase right into the air-filter. Smoked something awful!

Turns out it wasnt as bad as said on the phone - the bolt holding the manual choke cable worked loose and it was choking the engine when it didnt need too- a good overall tune up , air filter-oil change and filter-plugs and good to go again- thanks for all replies
