IH rear wheel centers are made like Swiss Cheese...full of holes. They break fairly easily.

Didn't IH have trouble keeping centers tight on axle back then?
My brother in law has run clamp on triples on 4840 JD since new. Must be pretty good centers.

Yes IH had lots of trouble keeping wheels tight on the axles.

Hmmph! Here I've had clamp on duals for years, and sitting wishing I had hub mount duals cuz I thought they were the "stuff".

I went from axle mount rim mount on my 7050. If you get in mud with axle mount, there is a good chance you will break a value steam off when mud falls through. Haven't fix a flat tire since.          MACK
