Bought a new John Deere (i know) Z 920M mower. I hope i like it, I always mowed with a tractor type until now. It's commercial grade and this thing is massive. 60" 7 gauge mower deck, full suspension seat, 25 HP Kawasaki, it weighs almost 1300 lbs when loaded with 11 gallons of gas. Maybe overkill I don't know, I'll find out in a week or so when the lawn needs mowing. If it sucks you might see it in the classifieds.

had a Grasshopper years ago, finally sold it. the engine was under the seat and the seat was black and my a$$ cooked every time i mowed with it. bought a new Dixon 54 inch with a cowasucky motor, still has a black seat but it don't cook me sitting on it. no probs with it in 3 years so far. prolly jinx myself now. it has greasable spindles on it. mows great on sidehills and is comfy.

Use some of that pink paint on the seat. I ant never built or bought a black seat,I learned that lesson 60 years ago.

Have had a 60" Swisher now for 6 years 27 HP Briggs - replaced spindle bearings is the biggest problem - seems they are a light bearing is the biggest thing I see wrong with them . Bought it as a return with 5 hours on it , they had a deal with $300 off If you took out their credit card . so with 2 discounts was a good price . just picked up another one used that has bad deck bearings so will fix that and resell .

May seem wrong to start with but by mid summer you will fight anyone who tries to take it from you....then you'll wonder why it took so long to get one. I have an older (05) Simplicity 61in W/25hp Kohler

Just checked the hours on the Toro Z (named El Toro) It is 20 years old and had 1500 and a few hours on it before last use.
Tractors have a place in life, but not on my lawn grass.

I have a 54" Raptor commercial grade mower wished I had bought one instead of my Cub when I moved home. I will never be without a Zturn again. Use the cub for moving small stuff when I don't feel like getting on the tractor.
