So I was pulling my truck and trailer out of the wet yard with my 6060 put chain around the draw bar carrier and well need less to say it pulled the bolts out of the PTO housing instead of pulling my truck and trailer. So my question is will a 6080 PTO housing swap easily to the 6060? I have a 6080 parts tractor out back. Thanks for any help or info.

Another hard lesson learned that a drawbar carrier is NOT a pull point.  It holds the drawbar up, that's it.   That's why I keep a clevis in the tool box.
I do not think the 6080 rear end is the same.  These 2 tractors used transmissions and rear ends from 2 separate Fiat models.  One was 8 speed and one was 12 speed as well.

Yeah definitely a hard lesson. I'm going to make some calls today and see if I can get a used housing. My luck it will cost a fortune.

I put one on mine last winter, was broke when I got it and I got tired of constantly worrying about it. I ordered it from someone in OH I think. I do remember it has 6070 on it with a paint marker. I don't know if that's correct but it fit. I also machined some rings and pressed them over the round nubs where the hitch bolts to reinforce it some. Mine was broke out at the bottom like it was overloaded? I'll see if I got a picture

Parts books show the rear housings are indeed different. Can you heli-coil the holes?

I still need to look at it a little more yet I have a machinist friend that may be able to re machine the holes

By the way that is metric bolts, I think m20x2.5 pitch. I can look on my receipt from McMaster Carr if needed.

Someone told me a while back that they could be tapped to 3/4 if I remember correctly. Don’t remember if it was fine or coarse thread.

Taping to 3/4-16 would work if drilled to 11/16 .687 and its stripped and not broke out. M18 drill to tap is a little smaller

Great they were not busted, mine was broke out beyond reasonable repair due to some kind of rough treatment by previous owner. I nursed it as long as I could and then replaced it. Scott
