I would start with the pump to see if its working ? Make sure your filters are not pluged. Let us know if the pump is working ? I dont understand why it wont move I thought they were tourq converter drive That should be a diffrent system.

both pumps were working fine before everything went bad, checked all fluids and filters, both hydrolics and trans filter, the transmission system is a torque converter drive and uses different fliud, this leads me to belive that whatever drives both pumps and the torque converter is broken? am i on the right path here, the motor all of a sudden sounded different like it wasn't under any load, any infomation would be great

Are the pumps working now is the question ? You may of broken the flex plate off the fly wheel ? I dont have a 840 I dont realy have a idea of the set up they use.

bill, where are the pumps located on an 840? If they are mounted to the timing cover, the splines may have stripped on the shaft.

the pumps are on the flywheel end of the motor, left side does the steering, right side controls the bucket and the center (internal) is the torque converter, all three stopped working at the same time and the sound of the motor changed, like is was no longer under load?

Soooooooooo....... I just pulled the motor and the ring gear that is bolted to the fly wheel ( the fiber type one) was broken and all the bolts were sheared off, 6 looked like old damage and 2 looked new, the ring gear drives the torque converter and then the other two pumps, my question is what could have caused this and where can i buy a new ring gear?

well someone was beating on the loader shifting forward to rev with out stoping at some point in its life. What motor is in that ? Is the fly wheel beat up or are the bolts broke off in the fly wheel. If its in good shape just use left handed drill bits and pull the bolts and have it turned.

Try Minnpar in MN for new / do lookup in Rock and Dirt for used or just web search .
Also Thill Tractor Eau Claire WI may be of help.

Glad they could help you out , I have had good dealings with them over the years . Deno there, got me the tracks for my FD 5 and the sprockets and rollers , got a HD5 radiator from them that was like new , and the price has been right in my dealings.
