| I have a maroon belly 7000, with the the 12 speed transmission. I am trying to get it up to the 140-150hp range without doing anything major to get it there. It's used for work everyday from now till October or November. I had it dynoed a couple years ago when I had the clutch replaced and turned it up to 115, I just got done adding an inner cooler and am hoping that I gained at 15-20hp. Any suggestions on what I can do to gain more or if I should call it good? |

| What are you doing with it that you think you need 150 HP?? Bigger injectors are next and then turn the pump up internally. Intercooler installed properly will overload the radiator on a 80+ degree day at 100% load. Then, repair the driveline when it fails. |

The only injector that is bigger is the 7010/7020 which is slightly larger than the 7000 tip. The DM pump would have to be torn down and parts changed to get that kind of increase. I do these kinds of builds all the time. An S200 turbo would work great on that too! BTW, all 7000's have 4 speed trans, with 3 speed power shift. ------------- 210 "too hot to farm" puller, part of the "insane pumpkin posse". | for all its worth might want to consider a 7020 that way you would still get the 301's fuel economy plus the power of the better turbo,higher capacity pump setup,oil jet cooled pistons, and nice factory intercooler setup. |

| There's a couple reasons I have been looking for a little more hp out of it without having to dump a lot of money to do it. This time of year I put it on a set of 5x18 plows and there's been times when you wish you had that extra 10hp to be able to pull better etc. I don't need to go that high horse I'd honestly be happy to get 125-130 |

| Everyone thinks this with pulling that big of plow - more more , but a 7000 is a one of a kind Powershift and will be expensive to rebuild with that extra power, id drop a plow moldboard off and go with 4-18,s ,, just my opinion |

| A 7020 with no weights or fluid weighs in at 11,500 lbs, which at 100 lbs per PTO HP is near perfect for a 123 PTO HP tractor for tillage. A 7010 @ 110 HP is still right in the ballpark. An 8010 FWA is too heavy for many applications even without fluid. This is just my opinion. A model 7000 with rear fluid and full front weights isn't heavy enough in my territory to really handle a 5 x 18's plow very well. Again, my opinion. |

| A 7030 with 130 hp is a bigger horse on a plow than a 7000 with 140 hp. but will use more fuel. Nothing like CI on a big load. MACK |
