Decent washing in 20 seconds is plenty WITH SOAP, that from a local news service and nurses here in town, UNLESS are handling contaminated materials then any guess of sufficient time.
A decent rinse for Dust or when take out the trash is enough to take off the bulk of stuff. What I don't get and Will NOT get is the OCD idiots using wipes on EVERYTHING in their homes when nobody has visited and no kids. Never touch door knobs without a shirt sleeve or a hanky and inside their OWN home where not even sick, other than the OCD issue. Woman on news show being interviewed, SINGLE, no full time Boyfriend, and doing as I just noted, that one needs a special coat inside a rubber room. Would NOT put bare feet to the floor even as scrubbed it hours before, had to have socks and shoes on to leave her bedroom, carried a door pull hanky and said she washed those devices every other day!! That is just NUTS.
As a mechanic Years ago, can still remember the Honey wagon or trash truck mechanics that would eat lunch after wiping hands with a dirty shop towel and never think twice of it. Most of those guys were NEVER sick.

Well,,,I hear Ya Mr Miller,,,,Maybe I'm being too paranoid but I have told the boys and family that we "Have" to take extra precautions because the of the wife's health issues and the people at Dialysis told us to strictly limit ANY outside people contact for her and prolly me as well. Her's is a reduced immunity due to the kidney issues. SO,,,we do not invite anybody in the house unless they have a current card from health dept sayin they are CLEAR as of that morning,, NOW,,THAT may be overkill but better safe that sorry,,,  PLUS,,being over 70 sucks as well,,,,,
