To those of you that rent out your farms, did you entertain "offers" as far as $$/acre?? If so, was there any $$ difference in the cost/acre bid between "GREEN/RED" farmers?? Just curious :-

Mom's 200 acres will be done with CRP next year. If they don't renew it, we have already has 3 people wanting to rent it. Not yet discussed price. I runs strictly green, 1 runs cat and kinzie planters with Red combine. Another runs Cats, green Combines and green planters.

I dont know about all states, but in Illinois you can look on the Internet and get a map of Illinois and they show BY COUNTY what the "going" rate for RENT is..... of course it is not exact as there may be some hill and some bottom ground in the same county... but you can look at the next county over and get a pretty good idea of the RATE.

Not so much interested in the $$/acre as am interested in the $$ offered by CIH guys vrs. JD guys, I have my opinion but was just curious what others have seen.

Cost of equipment. Dad entertained 6 offers mid-winter;4 red,2 green. The green guys were the lowest per acre??
