How do you remove the power steering pump from the front of the engine on the series 2 gas? I can only see one long bolt going through the timing cover. Can't find another one. Also, is there a gasket where it mates to the timing gear? The parts book diagram is not very good for this particular pump. Also, the governor weights appear to be pretty sloppy. Should I get new weights and pins or just new pins? | There are two bolts from back of pump. I would replace weights , pins, and keepers. MACK |

Thanks Mack. They are all Allen type bolts on back of the pump. 2 larger heads and 4 smaller ones, so I went for the 2 larger ones. The bottom one came out easily but the top one was already broken before I put the wrench on it. Safe to say the pump is still tight. What is the best way to deal with the broken stud in the pump housing? | I have not had a pump off a D15 in years, but I know there are two bolts that holds it on. In your picture I see a bolt hole in upper right corner, should also be one in opposite corner. MACK |
