A few good pictures of the engine might help.

Most likely stamped into block on a casting ear around the bell housing area. casting numbers were just casting numbers in most cases.

is it possibly a waukasha  ?           it is a turbo diesel 4cyl. has 216020 cast on the block by the injection pump

Read through this post it might be a Waukesha D436T. I see a couple photos I had disappeared but that may be it.

Those numbers are just casting numbers and I can't say they are totally specific to the D436T.

Sometimes they ask for water pump casting numbers if an engine used several different pumps, I don't know on this one.

Find a way to clean the engine tag if its there, a stick and a rag, something. Try reaching down and taking a picture of it, I've had luck doing that in some cases.
