I have a f50-24 forklift I am trying to get a head gasket kit for. Most research I have done pointed to the Buda engine. Order the gasket kit for it from Steiner tractor parts and upon arrival it is not the correct kit. I have a few numbers on the block but am not finding much by searching the numbers. I believe on the side is stamped 45158288 the 7th digit is a ? Any help would be great

hmm 4 cyl or 6 cyl ?
My FPD50-24 has a BUDA 4BD153( ?) diesel engine in it, same block and most parts as in a Cockshutt '30' gas tractor.

There's cockshut manuals online somewhere.....

Been a while but remember having to go to an Allis dealer because there was 2 different types of manifold gaskets and the kit came with the more common.

You are correct there was a tractor version then an industrial version produced by buda. It is a buda production engine with the industrial head. Manifold gaskets and valve cover gaskets are different. I am trying to find out the industrial kit number then i can find that part of at all possible

'fun' fact. The BD153 engine can have either 3 or 4 rings per piston.the 'fun' part is you have to tear it down to find out...so you can't preorder the parts....
