I have been looking for 0.040 Main bearings for my D17 and it seems they have been
discontinued. Does anyone know of a source for them. If not it may be time for another crankshaft.

djake,
Welcome! When I took my 226 WD45 crank in for work it was going to be turned to -.040. The shop recommended another better crank. He was afraid that was on the edge. We did not try to order bearings so I i dont know if they are available? Maybe try some of the suppliers her like Tony's Tractors and or Sandy Lake and others.
Good luck with your D17!
Regards,
 Chris

I can get .040 rod and main bearings for the WD/WD45 tractors and .040 rod bearings for the D17, but I checked today and I can't get .040 MAIN bearings for the D17/170 gas engines

I checked with the shop again today and they said it would need a 0.050
to work and I'm sure they don't make that.
