We use a Dole tester with the large rotary dial that is graduated into the moisture percent which I will call "points". There is a mercury thermometer that tells you to add or subtract a certain percent depending on the temp. Is the thermometer's percent considered a "point" or a percentage of the big dials' number ?? The manual is not very clear to me Confused .Thanks

If its like mine (dont remember the number) there is a calibration scale in the drawer. Like x temp you add 1% moisture and y temp you subtract 1%.
