I"ve seen this spelling both ways for years. Is this a regional, country or paint color thing? I have green books with k, orange books with c. Founders are from different countries ------------- |

Folks, I used both but disk looks more robust, so maybe we should use that for the field work and the disc for the computer. If you google it you dont get Allis disks in the back forty! My useless 2 pennies! I don't think it's regional. Just semantics. Locally whenever I've searched, I use both words in the search feature. Get about the same number either way. And of course along with the results I'm looking for are both spellings for compact DISC and DISK offerings, vehicles for sale with DISC and DISK brakes, on and on. It's like when you read a post and the writer states: To many, which would of course imply they're addressing "many" people, but they meant to spell, "TOO." You get the picture.  ------------- I need more than 200 characters for my "signature." I'd love to see that changed to 250! |

Tractorhouse and Machinery Pete call them disks. We have always called it a disk. The technical term may actually be "disk harrow".......which on a regional basis seems to be referred to as either a disk or harrow. But do an Internet search for "Farm Disk" and select images and large disks will appear. Do a search for "disk harrow" and most of what shows up will be smaller disks....10 feet or less. Do a search for "harrow" and about 1 image in 5 will be of a disk.....almost all of them less than 10 feet. More like 5 to 6 feet. Deer plot and garden size. Now what about gray or grey? |

I like Crestons answer the best so far. And we ant in english class so I can do as I want to this super mixed up mess of a language
There be plows moldboard or chisel. Then you got harrows,be they peg, disc, or spring.
