Not to take away from the F2 unloading post, but I recall the days of the "FIXED" augers on the A and then an F series that we ran. Both units had a spout that could be flipped up or down and I will never forget for the rest of my life that dad INSISTED that the spout be folded up,for what reason I will never know because his memory is "fatigued" after 53 years of farming Smile . My thoughts are it was easier to clear the sideboards of the wagons, although the spout "splattered" less IMO

I always left the spout folded over, when unloading the wind would blow the chaff and dust out better before it went in the wagon or truck.
