Any one ever replace center board on F3?  is difficult to do? Would I have to remove elevator from combine?

I have no experience with replacing the board, but may I ask why it needs replaced on such a "newish" machine compared to our '79 F2? Just curious is all, have a feeling our machine is on "borrowed" time Cry

Good luck finding one. Couple of years ago I checked and they were NLA from AGCO

I'm not so much familiar with F series, but if the center board on them is oak like on L/M series, I used to make them out of a piece of oak from the local lumber yard. Darrel

We replaced one in the L3 last winter. Two guys works best to remove and reinstall the elevator. We took our worn out center board to local cabinet maker. He made a perfect match, bolt holes and all.

Its breaking up on the lower end.  Had a couple of pieces at the bottom causing cause slip clutch to go off.  Also a lot of extra beans not geting carried on up and loading auger and elevator.  about finished, will be winter project.
