Has anybody used 1? I've got what seems like thousands of walnuts in my yard. Wondering if 1 would pick them up?

John Deere one at the church would have shattered them all the centrufical fan sucks the grass and blows it into the trailer. It would be like putting them through a shredder. My CoWorker just rakes his into a snow scoop and dumps them into his lawn trailer.

If you play golf, use a driver, and hit them into your neighbor's lawn...

Or there's these things...

Once de-hulled, they may be salable, as organic harvested walnuts...

And d-hulling is so mush fun...Wink

neighbour has a 'wire basket shaped like football on a stick' that DOES pickup walnuts, acorns and apples. Bought at a local hardware store, maybe TSC or ?? have them.VERY fast to use.
black walnuts are poison(really) to every veggy garden.

When I was growing up we would spread them out in the driveway, and vehicles driving over them as the came and went would husk them.

I had 2 dif types of lawn vacs, one was powered by a gas engine and one was one of them sweeper types with the rotating brushes, neither one worked worth a dang on the walnuts, I have seen what they describe above, and if they are still green and hard they work good.
