A.C. 7030- IH 1066 - JD 4430 - FORD 9600 - CASE 1270- MASSEY 1135

OLIVER and MM really didn't have one in that hp and time frame of the 7030.

AC 7080 - JD 6030/4840 - CASE 1570/2590 - FORD TW30 - MASSEY 2805 - WHITE 2-180

The MASSEY 2805 was 190 HP and the 7080 was built from 1974-1981 while the others didn't build that size until the late 1970's except JD. IH didn't offer anything that size until 1981.

Maroon bellies AC pretty much coincided with the 30 series Deere, the 66 series IH, the orange bellied Case and the X600 series Ford's give or take a year.

I've been bored many times during winter storms over the years and did a lot of reading on that very subject. Combines too.

I can’t help but wonder how they actually compared with reliability and field performance. I know the 66 series ih have good reputations and so do the 4430 Deere’s. I personally don’t have any experience with anything that size other than an Allis

I've worked in an Allis shop and was a parts man for a CaseIH shop. I'll take the AC any day over a 66 or 86 series. IMO the engine is the only solid piece on those tractors.

Couldn't agree with you more on that IH comment. When those 66 series came out many of the engines never made it to 2,000 hrs before they had antifreeze in the oil. When they were repaired, they had a coolant filter installed.
