I’m trying to fire up a b that has been sitting for five years. Any suggestion or recommendations I should use for an oil weight ?

probably SAE30 ?

I use Rotella T4 15W40. The manual said 10w in the winter and 30w in the summer, so a decent 10w30 with zinc and phosphorus would be fine.

...but I run Rotella 15w40 in everything I have that's old and relatively primitive and I've never had a problem. Granted, my B doesn't come out when it is under 20 degrees.

After I overhauled my CA and wanted to use it for snow removal, I ended up going to Mobil 1 0W-30 so I could get it started fairly easy below 0. It was even 12v with a good starter. Since it sees so few hours a year combined with a warm building, it still gets the Mobil 1.
