I just installed a new return elevator chain in our Gleaner F3. It is now catching on top just past the inspection door on top every so often and I have to turn the chain backward to free it up. This didn't happen until the new chain was installed. Is it recommended to run this chain tight or on the loose side. Thanks for your help
Bob

If you can't slide a chain roller back and forth at the sprocket, it is too tight. Loosen just enough so you can slide the roller back and forth by hand.

Look at the condition of your sprockets.

thanks, We got it going. We tighten it up some more and we ran a 2-4 acres without a issue. And we replace the sprocket and the chain at the same time. Thanks again for the replies.

Your chain should be touching all of the lower sprocket, not hanging loose.
