How many hours is the 6sp powershift good for? I’ve got an 8070 with 9300 and it still shifts very crisp, seeing another higher houred one at a dealership and it’s in my price range - I know guys that don’t bat an eye at 10-15k hrs on magnums, is an Allis powershift good enough to go that far? Also if/when it’d go down what is the parts availability and general cost to overhaul one?

Have a maroon 7060 with over 10,000 hrs. Still working well (knock on wood). Have another that was quoted over $10,000 to go through without even looking at it. FWIW

Holy smokes...$10k!

I foresee a 7/8000 series in my future sometime but I didn’t realize that kind of work cost that much.

When you get into the modern 18-speed Funk transmissions you are looking at 25K and up. Any front axle work on a FWA axle can shoot 5K in the blink of any eye.

Theres a 7040 in the area that was just shy of 22,000 house. The mechanic that fixed it said orings dry rotted but everything else still looked brand new. If it was taken care of, it still should have a lot of life left. We put $13,000 in an 8070 tranny that that lost oil flow and burnt itself. Plus another $14,000 in the front end. It can get pricey but look at what new cost.

Just got finished going through a 15 speed power shift in a 4450 $16000. It was a $7 bushing came loose in one of the planetarys we put anything in it that had any wear whatsoever. Had to have some parts machined too pricey from Deere when we got to $25000 just in parts we decided to have some made. Just went through the fwa on the 8070 I know the parts was $3000 used haven’t got the total bill yet
