is there anyway in Win10 to resize photos? I don't think so, I could find anything, but I'm not the sharpest with computers. If not, is there a simple, free, downloadable program to do so?

Yes there is in Windows 10!  To get them on this site they cant be larger than 2MB.  When you have your picture large in Win 10, right click it-press the resize button-choose the 2MB option.  When it loads onto this site, manually enter 380 vertical and 500 horizontal before you press done.

Hey Lou,,,the really nice thing bout win10 is that smart azzed lady named "Cortanna" that lives in that small window in your lower left hand corner of your computor screen. It will usually be a light colored window in a dark colored screen. you can type "Anything" you want it to find for you and it will,,,!! For instance type in "resize pictures" and it will give you several options on how to do it,,,Nice,,!!Clap

I use Irfan ( free of course...)  and click on the 640x480 button, then save. That's the VGA size format.....some call it 'Email format'.....

Same here.

My thought was " Asking a woman for directions can get complicated."

have they eliminated Paint Brush or Paint programs in WIN10 ?  I take camera photos that are 5-6 MB and shrink them in Paint Brush to  .5 MB and resave on my hard drive... But I have WIN 7.

Like them all, but love the "B"s.

I have never had a pic that was too big to upload. Once I have it in my file on this forum, I set the width to 800 or there abouts and change the height to whatever I need to keep the ratio between height and width.

The problem comes in if you use a new  CAMERA that has a resolution that takes 4-6 MB photos.... THey can not be uploaded to this site if they are over 2 MB ............ Some cameras take High Def photos with  a width of 4000 or 5000 pix. ......... I shrink them down by x 20% to get about 800 pix width and then they are only 300 KB.

Well,,I expect most of ya'll that have Win10 have already got the same message from Microsoft,,,,in that MS is ending their support for Win10 in November of this year,,,,, some will LOVE this bit of news and others will most certainly NOT. As Chask says,,,I have had lotz more than my share of problems with MS's "forced"updates  and even to having to replace a PC that just would not reboot after one of their friggin updates,,,!!! I will say this tho,,The MS techs did spend a lot of time straightening out their fu except for the total failure with my PC. I did tell every one of the MS techs that these forced updates were contrary to the ideals of American citizens as thet decision should of been OURS all the time,,,,their response is that MS owned the operating system so they had that right.
I guess MS finally got tired of listenin to all the complaints and gave up and gonna try something else,,,,we'll see,,,,,

I'm still running WIN98SE, XPPRO and WIN7ULT....NONE have had MS updates for years...zero OS problems. Everything operates the way it's supposed to. I actually design/build gadgets with micros inside so I have some knowledge of what's 'under the hood' and 'updates' more often than not do 'something' bad not good...
You can stop WIN10 fgrom 'auto updating', wife's machine is the same as it was 3 years ago. As long as you don't change the hardware, the OS don't need to be updated. Virus SW, yes, maybe the browser... but they are NOT the OS....
I see people get into trouble after downloading a 'must have ap' not knowing it's tentacles go in and 'alter' the basic OS...... THAT has happened to me ONCE. Some 'ap' decided to reduce the power level for one of my USB ports ! Took me 1/2 day to figure that out....

Found This

Windows 10 support ending

Windows 10 1803 or April 2018 Update is reaching end-of-support life and Microsoft is now advising users to update their systems to stay protected and get the latest Windows Update. ... The Windows 10 April 2018 Update will reach end of service on November 12, 2019 for Home and Pro editions.

And

How long will win 10 be supported?

The terms closely follow Microsoft's pattern for other recent operating systems, continuing the policy of five years of mainstream support and 10 years of extended support. Mainstream support for Windows 10 will continue until Oct. 13, 2020, and extended support ends on Oct. 14, 2025.

I think it's possible with almost any picture viewer software. Even with basic Paint. But I recommend to you downloading 2-3 apps for working with images to try them first and eventually to get the one you liked. I personally use Adobe Photoshop if I need this kind of image work to be done. I recently had to http://https://depositphotos.com/stock-vectors.html" rel="nofollow -
